    VISIT BY DELEGATION FROM NATIONAL DEFENSE COLLEGE, MIRPUR, BANGLADESH TO UGANDA

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda today had the honour of hosting a high-level delegation from the National Defense College, Mirpur, Bangladesh, currently undertaking a study tour in Uganda. The 14-member delegation, led by Group Captain B M Hassan Mahmud, afwc, psc, GD(p), arrived in Uganda on the 8th of September 2024 as part of their Armed Forces War Course 2024.

    UGANDA-DRC BORDER REAFFIRMATION: A PATHWAY TO STABILITY AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

    From the 2nd to the 6th of September 2024, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and
    Uganda held a significant Joint Technical Committee (JTC) meeting in Goma, aimed at
    reaffirming their common border. The meeting, organized in close cooperation between the two
    governments, took place in a cordial environment, free from security threats, allowing for
    constructive discussions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda played a central role in
    coordinating Uganda’s participation, ensuring the successful execution of this crucial diplomatic
    engagement.

    HON. OKELLO ADDRESSES 2 ND INDONESIA-AFRICA FORUM 2024 IN BALI

    Minister of State for International Cooperation Hon. Henry Oryem Okello represented H.E. the President at the Second Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) II in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali from 1-3 September 2024. In his statement delivered on behalf of H.E. President Yoweri Museveni, as Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), Hon. Okello recalled the 1955 Bandung conference that laid the foundation of the 10 Bandung principles which have been the cornerstone of the NAM.
